TRANSMITTAL OF QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDITS REGARDING COLT INDUSTRIES, FAIRBANKS MORSE, ENGINE DIVISION, DIESEL GENERATORS FOR 5 LIMERICK GENERATING STATION As requested by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Tr. 8194), Applicant hereby transmits the Philadelphia Electric Company and Bechtel audit reports of Colt Industries, Fairbanks Morse Engine Division, regarding the procurement of the emergency diesel generators for the Limerick Generating Station. The audit reports being provided are described in the attachment to this pleading.

It should be noted that in addition to the Bechtel and Philadelphia Electric Company quality assurance audits, there are inspections performed by Bechtel representatives at the facilities of Colt Industries and its sub-suppliers in accordance ~ with the quality assurance ' program for the 8403300271 840327 PDR.ADOCK 05000352-9 PDR hQ

e Station. Reports of these inspections, which number approximately 275, are not being transmitted, but can be made available if the Board desires to review them.

Copi.es of the audit reports, designated Discovery 33, will be made available for inspection by any party or participant during normal business days from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at a room near Philadelphia Electric Company's headquarters. Any party or participant wishing to examine 1 these documents should call Edward Cullen, Esq. at 215/841-4273 at least one day in advance to make specific arrangements. Copies of this material will be made at the i prevailing commercial rate.
