9 MOTION FOR ESTABLISHING , hw H{.ARING SCHEDULE os 00 Applicant, after conferring with counsc1 for Joint Intervenors and the NRC Staff, respectfully requests the Licensing Board to establish the following schedule for the hearings in the captioned proceeding:

Parties file direct testimony - March 9, 1982 Begin hearing - March 23, 1982 i

This hearing schedule is consistent with the NRC Monthly Status Report to Congress, November 27, 1981, which indicates a hearing start date in March 1982. It is also consistent with the projected Waterford 3 fuel loading date of October 16, 1982.

Counsel for Joint Intervenors has authorized Applicant's counsel to state that he concurs in this motion. Joint Intervenors' counsel has also advised that he has an existing commitment for a trial in Federal District Court on April 15-16, 1982. Starting the 4

hearing on March 23, 1982, should enable him to avoid conflict with those trial dates.
