Joint INTERVENORS MOTION FOR A CONTINUANCE IN FILING EXCEPTIONS AND BRIEF A Partial Initial Decision was rendered by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board on November 3, 1982. That decision was served in the first class, U.S. mail on November 4.
Exceptions to this decision are due on November 14._10 CFR 2.710 allows five (5) days extra for documents served in first class, U.S. mail. Therefore, exceptions should be in the mail on or before November 19.
Joint Intervenors invoke 10 CFR 2.711 in asking for an extension of this time period for 10 days. The research co-ordinator of the synergism contention, Christine Duncan, had a premature birth of a baby girl-on October 20. Minor complications have drastically limited the mobility an'd accessibility of this key individual.
Neit.her the' Applicant nor the Staff oppdse this reasonable extension of time for the exceptions and the brief.
If this extension is found acceptable by the Appeal Board, then Joint Intervenors exceptions would be in the mail on or before November 29. A brief would be due thirty (30) days after this date--no later than December 29. If Joint Intervenors file before November 29, the thirty days would begin from that day.
