JOINT INTERVENORS' REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR FILING APPEAL on July 11, 1985, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board

-issued ALAB-812 denying Joint Intervenors' motion to reopen the record. ALAB-812.

Lynne Bernabei and George Shohet, counsel for Joint Intervenors, have been out of town since before issuance of ALAB-812. Chief counsel Bernabei will be out of the country until the first week of August. Therefore, it will be impossible for Joint Intervenors to make a decision whether to appeal ALAB-812, and to file such an appeal, within the timeperiod prescribed by 10 CFR 2.786.

In light of these circumstances, Joint Intervenors hereby request an extension of time until August 9, 1985 for filing an appeal to ALAB-812.
