The State of Louisiana has petitioned fo a 6' to intervene in this facility operating licensing proceeding, and hereby requests that a hearing be held in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana by the appropriate official or entity of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

Louisiana is the community located nearest to the proposed nulcear generating station, and holding a hearing there would provide persons having knowledge about the site and the applicant an opportunity to convey this information to the NRC; this information may not otherwise be available to the NRC in its decision-making proceedings.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana is the official domicile of the State of Louisiana and intervenor feels it is in the interests of the State of Louisiana that various state officials make contributions from their particular areas of expertise.
