- l Va.s River Bend Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-458 Final Report /DR-77 Gulf States Utilities Company (GSU) has concluded its investigation of a potentially reportable condition concerning a violation of requirements for minimum spacing between drilled-in anchors and adjacent embedment plates (DR-77). On November 9, 1982, GSU notified Region IV of this potentially reportable condition and subsequently issued an Interim Report on December 9, 1982.
GSU has completed its investigation and determined that the drilled-in anchors would have performed their intended function if gone undetected. Therefore, GSU concludes that this condition would not have adversely affected the safe operations of the plant and is not reportable under 10CFR50.55(e). Our architect engineer's Quality Assurance Inpsection Plan now requires, in detailed form, that F4. eld Quality Cont rol inspect for adequate spacing. This inspection plan will preclude this condition from going undetected in the future.
