In accordance with 10CFR50, Appendix H, Omaha Public Power Dis-trict's letter to the Comission dated March 10, 1980, forwarded the technical report entitled " Evaluation of Irradiated Capsule W-225".
Forwarded herewith as Enclosure 1 is a revised surveillance capsule evaluation report. Additionally, all of the changes from the original report are tabulated and provided in Enclosure 2.
The original report detailed the results obtained from the evalu-ation of the first surveillance capsule removed from the Fort Calhoun Station reactor vessel. The evaluation resulted in an unexplained discrepancy between reactor vessel fluence inferred from the neutron threshold detectors within the surveillance capsule and the calculated fluence. The fluence calculation was subsequently reanalyzed, with certain improvements in the model, resulting in closer agreement between the calculated and inferred vessel fluence. Factors leading to this improved agreement are discussed in the revised report.
