By letter dated July 22, 1998 Duke Energy Corporation l submitted changes to the proposed Improved Technical l Specifications (ITS) related to the implementation of Westinghouse fuel at McGuire and Catawba Nuclear Stations. In this letter, Duke stated that revised pages would be submitted as necessary following NRC approval and issuance of the ITS for McGuire and Catawba. Accordingly, included as attachments to this letter are:

Attachment la provides a marked copy of the affected ITS pages for McGuire Units 1 and 2, showing the proposed changes.

Attachment 1b provides a marked copy of the affected ITS pages for Catawba Units 1 and 2, showing the proposed changes.
