April 20, 2012

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will host an open house and public meeting to discuss the NRC's assessment of safety performance at Seabrook for 2011, as described in the annual assessment letter dated March 5, 2012. The NRC will respond to questions on specific performance issues at the plant and our role in ensuring safe plant operations.

NRC Attendees: A. Burritt, Chief, Division of Reactor Projects, Branch 3 M. Khanna, Chief, Division of Operating Reactor Licensing, Plant Licensing Branch 1-2 W. Raymond, Senior Resident Inspector, Seabrook J. DeBoer, Acting Resident Inspector, Seabrook

Public Participation: This is a Category 3 Meeting. The NRC will host an open house to discuss NextEra's performance at Seabrook during calendar year 2011.

NRC staff will be available, in an informal setting, to answer questions from individuals and discuss issues or concerns related to Seabrook. In addition, the NRC will hold a formal public meeting followed by a question and answer session, during which members of the public will be able to ask questions or make statements in a public meeting.
