Purpose:

The NRC requested an Annual Assessment Meeting with NextEra Energy management to discuss the NRC assessment of NextEra Energy safety performance at Seabrook for calendar year 2009.

The NRC assessment of performance at this facility is documented in a letter dated March 3, 2010. NextEra Energy will be given the opportunity to respond to the information in the letter and inform the NRC of new or existing programs to maintain or improve performance.

NRC Attendees: A Burritt, Chief, Projects Branch 3, Division of Reactor Projects W. Raymond, Senior Resident Inspector J. Johnson, Resident Inspector NextEra Attendees: P. Freeman, Site Vice President E. Metcalf, Plant General Manager R. Noble, Engineering Director' Public Participation: This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have an opportunity to communicate with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting but before the meeting is adjourned.
