Location: Webinar Category: This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is for NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC to discuss their plans to submit a license amendment request for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to review for Seabrook Station, Unit No. 1 (Seabrook). The planned amendment would revise the Seabrook Technical Specifications (TS) by revising the 120-Volt alternating current (AC) vital instrument panel requirements of TS 3.8.3, "Onsite Power Distribution -

Operating." Specifically, the planned amendment would increase the allowable outage time for 120-Volt AC Vital Instrument Panels 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D from 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> to 7 days, establish a new required action for two inoperable 120-Volt AC Vital Instrument Panels of the same electrical train, and relocate the requirements for 120-Volt AC Vital Instrument Panels 1E and 1F to licensee control.
