The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the planned submittal of a license amendment request (LAR) that proposes to change the emergency action levels (EALs) at the Beaver Valley Power Station, Units 1 and 2, to Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 99-01, Revision 6, "Development of Emergency Action Levels for Non-Passive Reactors" (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

FENOC plans to include the following in its submittal: clean and redline copy of EAL technical basis, EAL comparison matrix, clean and redline copy of EAL definitions, description of EAL wall board, and relevant EAL calculations. FENOC mentioned two deviations from NEI 99-01 that it plans to take. The licensee stated that the proposed EAL scheme change will not alter the license, technical specifications, or the updated final safety analysis report. Additionally, the licensee stated that the planned change does not affect the environment.
