From April 9-13, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will perform a baseline Emergency Preparedness program inspection at the Surry Plant. The inspection will evaluate activities in the Emergency Preparedness cornerstone using NRC Inspection Procedures (IPs) 71114.02, Alert and Notification System Testing; 71114.03, Emergency Response Organization Staffing and Augmentation System; 71114.04, Emergency Action Level and Emergency Plan Changes; 71114.05, Maintenance of Emergency Preparedness; and Emergency Preparedness sections of 71151 Performance Indicator Verification.
