The Commission met to discuss the issuance of a full power license for the River Bend Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1. ,

The Commission voted 5-0 to authorize the staff to issue a full power license for River Bend, Unit 1.

Chairman Palladino and Commissioner Zech requested that staff provide to the Commission the results of a proposed survey of all operating plants and the next few FTOL's to determine what percentage, if any, of shift technical advisors (STA's) do not possess degrees. The staff should additionally provide a proposal or recommendation, if warranted, with respect to its findings.
