AFFIDAVIT OF WILLIAM N. FADDEN ON NECNP I.G WILLIAM N. FADDEN, being on oath, deposes and says as follows:
: 1. I am a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, employed by Yankes Atomic Electric Company. I am currently assigned to the Seabrook Project. My professional qualifications appear in the Operating License Application (FSAR Chapter 13).
: 2. As we have stated in our responses to interrogatories on Contention I.G, the Seabrook wide-range pressure transmitters (RC-PT-403 and 405) are located outside the containment and are not subject to the high energy line break environment that caused the inaccuracies addressed in IE Information Notice No. 82-11.
Westinghouse has confirmed that the problem does not exist at Seabrook due to the location of the wide-range pressure transmitter outside of the containment.
Based on the above, I feel there is no issue relative to NECNP Contention I.G on which factual hearings are warranted.
