AFFIDAVIT OF WILLIAM N. FADDEN ON NECNP I.G WILLIAM N. FADDEN, being on oath, deposes and says as follows:

1. I am a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, employed by Yankes Atomic Electric Company. I am currently assigned to the Seabrook Project. My professional qualifications appear in the Operating License Application (FSAR Chapter 13).

2. As we have stated in our responses to interrogatories on Contention I.G, the Seabrook wide-range pressure transmitters (RC-PT-403 and 405) are located outside the containment and are not subject to the high energy line break environment that caused the inaccuracies addressed in IE Information Notice No. 82-11.

Westinghouse has confirmed that the problem does not exist at Seabrook due to the location of the wide-range pressure transmitter outside of the containment.

Based on the above, I feel there is no issue relative to NECNP Contention I.G on which factual hearings are warranted.
