OF THE MAY 9, 2019 PUBLIC OUTREACH/OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2018 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF THE PALISADES NUCLEAR PLANT On May 9, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (EDT), a public outreach/open house was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2018 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Palisades Nuclear Plant and with general information on the NRC. The Open House was held at the Lions Club Community Center in Covert, Michigan. A list of the Open House attendees is attached. | |||
Twenty-two members of the public attended the meeting. No feedback form was received for this Open House. | |||
The NRC discussed their assessment of the Palisades Nuclear Plant performance during the meeting. The assessment information was documented in the March 4, 2019, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (reference ADAMS Accession Number ML19063B485). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter, the 2018-2019 NRC Information Digest (NUREG-1350), and other brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance. | |||
