Nuclear Regulatory Comission Attention: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 South Texas Project Electric Generating Station Units 1 and 2 Docket No. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Physical Security Plan, Revision 12 Enclosed are 4 copies of Rev. 12 to the South Texas Project Physical Security Plan. In addition, two copies of this revision are being forwarded to NRC Region IV. This document supersedes all previous revisions. None of the changes described in these revisions represent any lessening of plan effectiveness and most are enhancements; hence, these documents are being submitted in accordance with 10CFR50.54(p)(2).

Changes have been made to sectier,s 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and Appendices A, D, E. F, and G of the Physical Security Plan. Descriptions of the changes are provided in Attachment 1.

The revised sections and appendices of the Physical Security Plan provided with this letter require protection as safeguards information in accordance with 10CFR 73.21. When separated from the revised sections and appendices this letter is not considered safeguards information.
