Dear Mr. Knighton:
Attached is the Reactor Containment Building Design Report which was prepared for the South Texas Project (STP) in accordance with the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)Section III, Division 2, Article NA and the NRC Standard Review Plan (SRP), Appendix C to SRP Section 3.8.4. Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) committed to submit the attached report to the NRC during the Structural Engineering Branch (SEB) structural design audit which was conducted during the week of January 7, 1985.
In addition, as discussed during the SEB design audit, HL&P only committed to provide a design report for the Reactor Containment Building (RCB). We do not intend to prepare similar reports for the remaining Category I structures.
