Dear Mr. Davis:
Pursuant to 10CFR70.21 Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) hereby submits for review eight copies of an application for a license to receive, possess, return, and store unirradiated fuel assemblies required for the operation of the South Texas Project Electric Generating Station (STPEGS) Unit 1, which will be licensed pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR50.
The application has been completed in accordance with Regulatory Guide 3.15, Revision 1, " Standard Format and Content of License Applications for Storage Only of Unirradiated Power Reactor Fuel and Associated Radioactive Material," and contains all information required by 10CFR70.22. No fees are filed with this application. Thisapplicationisexemptunder10CFR170.11(a)(3) because STPEGS is licensed under 10CFR50.
