Farley Performance Assessment Increased Oversight Summary for 2023 Units 1 and 2 in Degraded Cornerstone Column during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters of 2023 One (1) Greater-than-Green (G-t-G) Violation, effective 4th Quarter 2022 Unit 1 in Regulatory Response Column during 3rd and 4th quarters in 2023 One (1) White violation, effective 3rd Quarter 2023 Supplemental inspections conducted to ensure Farley identified and corrected the root and contributing causes that led to the performance issues.

September 6, 2022 - Security Event The Plant is Safe: Not an Ongoing Issue NRC conducted a Special Inspection March 2023 NRC issued a G-t-G Notice of Violation Units 1 and 2 placed in the Degraded Cornerstone Column September 2023 NRC inspection verified corrective actions addressed the performance issue(s).

Units 1 and 2 returned to License Response Column 13 Farley Performance Assessment Greater-than-Green Violation in Security Cornerstone

February 26, 2023 - Unit 1 B emergency diesel generator failure due to a lube oil leak.

Oil leak resulted from Farleys failure to identify and correct the cause of a previous lube oil leak.

October 2023 NRC issued a White Notice of Violation of Corrective Action Requirements Unit 1 placed in the Regulatory Response Column December 2023 NRC inspection verified corrective actions addressed the performance issue(s).

Unit 1 returned to Licensee Response Column 14 Farley Performance Assessment White Violation in Mitigating Systems Cornerstone

Farley Performance Assessment Annual Assessment Summary Southern Nuclear operated the Farley Nuclear Plant safely and in a manner that preserved public health and safety and protected the environment.

Units 1 and 2 were in the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs ROP Action Matrix at the end of the last quarter of 2023

All PIs were Green (no performance thresholds exceeded)

All other 16 findings were of very low safety significance (i.e., Green)

One (1) Traditional Enforcement non-cited violation severity level IV NRC plans to conduct routine baseline inspections for 2024 15
