BOMB THREAT The New Britain Connecticut Police Department switchboard operator received an anonymous telephone call which stated that 3 bombs had been 3
placed in the Companys' Berlin Corporate Headquarters building to " protest nuclear power." The call was received at 10:16 a.m., and the information was relayed to the Companys' Corporate Security Department. Bomb threat procedures were instituted but the building was not evacuated. A search produced no trace of any bomb.
The Connecticut State Police and FBI have been notified through the police communications network.
Media interest is expected because of current news interest in the entire nuclear industry. The State of Connecticut has been informed. A press release is not planned by the licensee nor NRC. [
The IAT has been notified.
NRC, Region I, (Philadelphia) received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the Corporate Security Manager at 12:10 p.m., on April 28, 1978.
