Dear Mr. Bloch:
Pursuant to Section 50.59 of 10 CFR 50 and paragraph 3.B of Facility Licenses DPR-29 and DPR-30, Commonwealth Edison Company and Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company hereby submit a proposed change to DPR-29 and DPR-30, Appendix A.
The purpose of this j
change is to make allowance for the use of respiratory protective i
equipment in determining whether individuals in restricted areas at the Quad-Cities reactor are exposed to concentrations of airborne 1
radioactive material in excess of the limit specified in Appendix B, Table 1, of 10 CFR Part 20.
The page changes to the technical specifications are attached.
I By letters dated September 8 and 9, 1971, Commonwealth Edison was granted authorization to take credit for the use of protective equipment at its Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 1, 2 and 3.
This change has been reviewed and approved by Commonwealth Edison Company's Nuclear Review Board.
In addition to three signed originals, 37 copies of this proposed change are also submitted.
