e It is my understanding that the Quad Citics law suit is being settled and that the preliminary injunction probably will be re-moved this coming Monday.

As we unnerstand your testimony before this Committee on March 16 ja support of the Administration's bill H. R. 137?), the urgency for the interim lice sing portion of that bill was almost entirely baced on the Quad Citics situation. I also have that im-precsion from your testin.ony on March 1, 1972, before the Joint Hearing conducted by the Senate Committees on Public Works and Interior anc insular Affairs and before Mr. Dingell on March 22.

If the ir. formation which I have received about the settlement of the Quad Cities litiga7. ion is correct, picase advis.c the Committee promptly the urgency, if any, which exists with respect to the interim licensing portion of H, R. '13731 or wi:h respect to any other portion of that bill.

Sincerely yours,
