Dear Dr. Morris:

The Company herewith transmits forty (40) copies of Brunswick Steam Electric Plant Design Report No. 7 (BSEP DR-7) titled " Containment Design Report."

Design Report No. 7 is submitted in partial fulfillment of our commitment in regard to ACRS Concern No. 3.0 as stated in the ' Brunswick l

PSAR Supple:nent No. 6.

The report addresses itself specifically to Item 1 in which we committed to provide a summary of the containment analysis including scaled load plots, to Item 3 in which we committed to provide a tabulation of computed stresses in the drywell and pressure suppression chamber, including test, accident, and earthquake conditions, and to Item 5 in which we committed to provide typical details of diagonal reinforcing, including sketches of bar splicing methods and anchorage details. We have not included typical details around large openings in this reph t as also committed to in Item 5.

This information will be available for submittn e thin the next two months.
