REPLY OF AEC REGULATORY STAFF TO PETITION OF THE COUNTY OF SUFFOLK FOR INTERVENTION By petition filed August 28, 1970, the County of Suffolk, State of New York, requested that it be permitted to intervene in this proceeding.

Under the circumstances of this proceeding, the AEC regulatory staff would not object to the admission of the County of Suffolk as a party, subject to the condition that the County's participation be limited to matters within the jurisdiction of the atomic safety and licensing board and not be allowed to delay the proceeding.
