Engineering Branch Division of Construction FACILITY LICENSE APPLICATION BY LONG ISLAND LIGHTING COMPANY, DOCKET No. 50-322 The Long' Island Lighting Company has filed an application for licenses to construct and operate a boiling water nuclear reactor, designated as the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station Unit 1, at its 450-acre site'on the north shore of Long Island in the town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York.

A copy of the application, which includes general information and Volumes I, II, III and IV of the Pre 14=4am Safety Analysis Report-for the proposed reactor, is enclosed. Please review the application and provide Mr. Charles , A.
