This procedure and its appendices have been prepared to delineate requirements for the fabrication, installation, BOP Inspection, and the documentation for piping at the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station (CPSES).

ANI Inspection Point - A point at which ANI inspection of an item or material is required and established as such in documentation.
An inspection point may be waived by the ANI.
Construction Inspection Technician - An individual under the supervision of the PWE wno perfonns BOP inspections under the requirements of this procedure.
Go/No-Go Gauge - A gauge that is used to detenaine the accepta-bility of the machined inside diameter of the pipe and fittings while the mandrel is still in place on the TriTool machining i
tool.
Iron-Free - Industry standa rd of very low amount of iron; not necessarily 100% fme of iron.
Material Distribution Station - A facility which 1ssues weld filler metals directly to the applicable craft welder (often called a " Rod-Shack").

Material Requisition - A form used to formally request material i:

Nuclear - Refers to piping, conponents, etc., that are to be fabricated, tested, installed, etc., in accordance with the ASME Code Section III, Division 1.
Process Pipe - Includes (generally) those pioing systems covered by Gibbs & Hill Specifications 2323-MS-43A, B, and 44A, B, and 100 with the exception of plumbing and drainage piping and buried fire protection piping.
"0" - Any component defined as quality-relatea by the Safety Analysis Report.
OC Hold Points - To assure an operation is being performed in accordance with all applicable requirements, confomance verifi-cation by witnessing requires the inspector to physically observe the specific operation being perfomed. Salvage Material - Any undamaged pemanent plant piping material that has been removed fram service due to design change, etc.
Surface Defects - Any mechanical marks, abrasions, arc strikes, or pits on the surface of the base material of an item that in j
accordance with the governing specification could be considered l
injurious.
Weld Data Card - A fom used to document any type of weld.
Weld Filler Material Log (WFML) - A fom used by the crafts to fomally request the issuance of weld filler metal, to the applic-able welder, from the MDS. This shall document all filler metal used for a weld or group of welds as applicable.
Weld Technician - An individual assigned by the FWTC to perfom the tasks established in this document.

11/7/80 8 of 9 2.4 GENERAL DISCUSSION All responsibilities shall refer to personnel specified, or his designee.
Responsibilities should be defined by abbreviations (as given in Section 2.2) noted in the extreme left column adjacent to each paragraph number or in the body of this procedure and attachments.
Defining responsibility for a paragraph shall also define such for all subparagraphs under that Section unless otherwise noted (i.e., responsibility for 3.1 shall also define responsibility for 3.1.1 and 3.1.1.1, etc.).
Reference to a WDC shall include applicability to all types of Weld Data Cards unless otherwise noted. (See also, appendix 6.9G, Supplement I).
The applicable Code editions for work perfomed in accordance with this procedure shall be as follows (unless otherwise appro-ved by B&R and-the Owner / Engineer for use of specific provisions):

"0" Piping - ASME B&PV Code,Section III, Division 1,1974 Edition to and including Summer 1974 Addenda.

"0" Component Supports - ASME B&PV Code,Section III, Division 1,1974 Edition to and including Winter 1974 Addenda.
3.
"Non 0" Pipino - ANSI B31.1,1973 Edition to and including 1974 Summer Acdenda or ANSI B31.3,1973 Edition to and including Summer 1974 Addenda.
Approvals by the Owner / Engineer, subcontractors, etc., required by the governing specifications shall be obtained before perfom-ing the work described by this procedure or its appendices.
2.5 CALIBRATION REOUIREMENTS As required for inspections or special processes, instrumentation or measuring and test equipment as defined on the " Master Cali-bration Log" shall be calibrated in accordance with CPM 13.1.
Upon use during inspections by Inspection personnel, the cali-bration date and M&TE serial number shall be noted on the applicable documentation. The OC, CIT, or WT Inspector shall verify that the equipment was in calibration at the time of use.

11/7/80 g of g 2.6 NONCONFORMING CONDITIONS Nonconforming conditions noted in the course of work performed to this procedure shall be reported and dispositioned in accordance with QAP 16.1.
2.7 APPROVAL AUTHORITY The minimum requirements for approval of this procedure are delineated in CPM 6.1.
Additional requirements for approval for each Appendix to this procedure are delineated within the affected Appendix, as applicable.
3.0 PROCEDURE 3.1 PROCEDURE IMPLEMENTATION It is the intent that each Appendix to this procedure should be used, as a minimum, with this procedure. However, it is per-missible to issue one, or all of the Appendices with each copy of i
.O.
CPM 6.9, in accordance with the applicable document control procedures. Additional requirements for procedural use are given in CPM 6.1.
