As you are probably aware, the NRC Region V is performing a continuing comprehensive evaluation of allegations related to the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Generating Station. Status of the staff evaluations are presented in Supplements to the Safety Evaluation Report (SSER) for consideration by the Comission in their licensing activities.
Enclosed is the Region V staff evaluation of the emergency preparedness concerns expressed in your' November 4, 1983, December 9, 1983, and January 9, 1984. letters included in the latest Diablo Canyon SSER. I will be prepared to discuss the details of this evaluation in our forthcoming meeting.
