., o MONTHLY NARRITIVE REPORT OF OPERATING AND MAJOR MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE This report describes the operating and major maintenance experience for-the month of August, 1986. This report was prepared by the Plant Staff and is submitted in accordance with Section IX:I.1.c. of the Technical Specifications.

During the report period, the reactor has been in the cold shutdown mode with.the core unloaded and the reactor vessel drained. During the month the following activities were ongoing:

4 1.- Completed repairs to No. 1 and 2 concentrated waste storage tanks.

2.- Continued decontamination of Plant areas.

3. Placed the main condenser, hotwell and turbine in an inert N2 atmosphere.
4. Concluded the radioactive waste shipment program (approximately 140 shipments over the past fourteen calendar months).
