i 4 I MONTHLY NARRATIVE REPORT OF OPERATING AND MAJOR MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE This report describes the operating and major maintenance experience for the month of August, 1985. This report was prepared by the Plant Staff and is submitted in accordance with Section IX:1.1.c. of the Technical Specifications.

During the report period, the reactor has been in the cold shutdown mode with the core unloaded and the reactor vessel drained. During the month, excavation commenced for the construction of the Radwaste Enclosure.

i Yard decontamination preceeded the ground breaking with subsequent shipments of dirt and asphalt to U. S. Ecology. In addition, shipments of encapsulated filters were ongoing throughout the month of August. No other significant maintenance was accomplished during the month, f
