This is in response to your December 9, 1974, letter, RO:II:RFS which stated that certain activities at the 50-259/74-10, Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant unit 1 appear to have been in violation Responses to specific items are as follows:
of AEC requirements.
Item I.A.1 (Details II, Paragraph 2)
A complete review of the System Status File for units 1 and 2 has been completed. All abnormalities found have been corrected. Specific responsibility has been assigned to assure that all system status files are checked more frequently.
Item I.A.2 (Details II, Paragraph 3)
Each plant section checked page numbers and dates of all operating procedures assigned to them using the master file as a guide. Current pages were inserted for out-of-date and missing pages.
Super-visors were reminded of the requirement in Standard Practice BFA2 to acknowledge receipt of all procedures in writing and of their responsibility to certify that they are in the books. A periodic audit of plant operating procedures will be conducted at least annually to assure compliance.
We have reviewed RO Inspection Report No. 50-259/74-10 and find no proprietary material in it.
