Marshall dated July 8, 1997, Catawba l Nuclear Station Standby Service Water Pond The purpose of this letter is to document the removal of a structure "near the left downstream toe of the dam",

as mentioned in the referenced letter.

This structure was located just east of the toe of the dam (to an observer's left if standing on the middle of the dam crest and looking downstream) at the time of the on site inspection of the Standby Nuclear Service Water Pond Dam which was held February 26, 1997. Since that time, the structure (which was a small cabin that predated ccnstruction of the dam and power plant) has G2 been torn down and removed. This has been verified by actual inspection. I
