FOR INFORME0H DH3 2.0 GENERAL 2.1 PtRPOSE AND SCOPE This Quality Instruction supplements Reference 1-A and is established to assr e the adequacf-of Class 1E electrical I
cable installations at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station.
3.0 INSTRUCTION 3.1 INSPECTION FREQUENCY 1D SCOPE The frequency of inspection efforts, as a minimum, shall be established within this instruction or its daughter documents.
The QC' Supeivisor or his designee may direct, inspection to a greater frequency should circunstances warrant this action.
1 The complexity of nrticular cable installations may vary; the following are the required minimum inspection frequencies:

Instruction authorizes a monitoring of all Class 1E L
cable pulling operations.

Prior to any NIS triaxal cable ins tallation, the Electrical QC Inspector shall verify that the cable has i
been in Class "A" storage for a minimum of 48.houn and j
the cable reel test is emplete.

Inspection results shall be documented on the Inspection 1
Report (Figure 1,
2, 3,
4 or 5) in accordance with i
Reference 1-B.

If a cable is partially pulled, the Inspector shall l
i accurately descritie in the space provided (Itan #7) of the i
Inspection Report, the racmay(s) through which the cable had I
been pulled. If no deficir.ncies are noted, except incomplete i
processing of the cable, no entries will be ade in the l
" Sat-Unsat" attribute blocks, itms 1 through 6, of the IR.
l Its #7 shall be ' checked "Unsat", signed and dated by the j
i inspector in the spaces provided.
To prevent further processing of the incompleted cable, the QC Inspector shall j
apply a " hold" tag to both ends of the 'incompleted cable.
i A brief explanation should be noted in the "Remarts" section of the IR showing why the caole us partially pulled.

J The QC Inspector empleting the cable pull shall c. heck all i
attributes on the IR (Sat - Unsat - NAj and process the IR

in accordance with Reference 1-B.

If cable is reworked -(cable physically moved in raceway) it shall be docunented on the appropriate Ins pection l

Handling of raisions to cable canis den the new card set is received with changes dich do not affect the actual installation, such as a not card showing a change in systen number, will have the information from the old card transferred to the net card and the raision nunber of the old cards noted on the new card by craft. This infonnation is to be rwiewed for accuracy by QC and this review
' documented on Figure 4 for filing in vault. The new set of 8
cards are now handled as conpleted, the old card say be 4
destroyed.
3.3 OISCREPANCIES Discrepancies found during inspection shall be docunented on the IR (Figures 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) and/or a NCR per References 1-B and 1-C respectively, as directed by the QA/QC Supervisor.
