2.0 PURPOSE The purpose of this Quality Instruction is to provide instruction.s to QC Inspection personnel in documenting and performing a system walkdown for instrumentation turnover.

2.2 SCOPE

'l The scope!of this quality instruction includes:

Ins ruments that are Train A,

B, or separation l'

channel I, II, III, IV.

Tubing connected to safety related instruments (except in Non-category I areas) and/or ASME Class 1, 2, or 3 piping sustems.

Set ic Category I supports for Non-Nuclear Safety (NNS)

Related instrumentation.

3.2 SYSTEM WALKDOWN The QC Inspector will peNonn a systen walkdown of all j

instrument / tubing installations within the scope of this instruction. The walkdown inspection criteria will include, but not be limited to, the following checks:

a.

Verify tubing is not damaged.

b.

Verify tubing is identified by color coding as applicable.

Verify tubing securely mounted to supports, d.

Verify mechanical joints are intact.

e.

Verify tubing supports are intact and not damaged, i

f.

Verify instruments case and instruments windows are

,p-not damaged.

Verify instrtments are identified by ID number.

h.

Verify instruments securely mounted and supports are intact.

i.

Verify valves are complete and securely mounted.

The walkdown inspection results will be documented on the inspection report, Attachment 1.

I Upon completion of the walkdown, a copy of Attachment 1 will be provided to the B&R Completions Group.

If Unsat conditions exist a copy of the IR shall also be forwarded j"

to the B&R Instrimentation Construction department.

The original Inspection Report shall be maintained by QC until all unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.

to the B&R Completions Group and the original shall be j'

forwarded to the Pennanent Plant Records Vault.
