1.0 REFERENCES

1-A CP-QP-18.0, " Inspection Reports" 1-B QI-QP-11.2-3, " Torquing of Concrete Anchor Bolts" 1-C QI-QP-11.21-1, " Weld Inspection" HISTORICAI.File The purpose of this instruction 1: to delineate for the QC Inspector the attributes which shall be used in the reverification of mounting details of previously accepted seismic electricai equipment.

2.2 SCOPE This instruction is applicable to.,all Seismic Category I and II Electrical and HVAC Equipment.

3.0 INSTRUCTION I

3.1 REVERIFICATION The QC Inspector shall reverify Site fabricated equipment supports to ensure confonnance to the design document. The following criteria'shall be used for acceptance.

3.1.1 Anchor Bolt Inspection The QC Inspector shall. verify that all Hilti Expansion Anchor Bolts meet spacing and embedment requirements of Reference 1-B and tha t all accessible torqued bolts have i

been sealed with Inspector's lacquer.

Bolts requiring torquing shall be documented for Reference 1-B.

When the QC Inspector deems the coating renders 4

accurate weld size indeteminate or obvious defects are noted, paint removal shall be required.

3.1.3 Eauipment Mountina Details Inspection The QC Inspector shall verify that all Site fabric.ated mounting details confom to the design document for size of material,

dimensional tolerances, orientation, and

configuration. Additionally, the QC Inspector shall verify that hardware (washers, shims, brackets, A325 nuts, etc.)

delineated on the design documents are ins talled and acceptable.

3.1.4 Inaccessible Items It is the responsibility of the QC Inspe or to ensure the 1ratalled condition conforms to the des. i drawing.

Items inaccessible for reverification per this instruction shall be documented per Paragraph 4.0 for future resolution.

4.0 00CtMENTATION All inspections shall be documented, as applicable, in accordance with Reference 1-A and Attachment 1.

All unsat-isfactory conditions shall be documented on an IR.

When necessary, unsatisfactory conditions may be described in detail on an attached sheet to the unsatisfactory IR as per i.

Inspection Reports sha' be completed and transmitted to the CPSES Permanent Pla Records Vault in accordance with Reference 1-A.
