MAR 15 G85 MEMORANDUM FOR:
Herbert Livennore QA/QC Group Leader FROM:
Vincent S. Neonan, Director Comanche Peak Project
Subject:
DESIGNATED QA/QC COORDINATORS From your comments at the March 7,1985, meeting with TUEC on Mechanical and -
Miscellaneous issues, it is inferred that TUEC's QA/QC programmatic problems, in part, may have impacted upon the results of the various technical concerns and issues addressed in the SSERs prepared by the other TRT Groups.
Therefore, to ensure that the overall TRT review is properly integrated, it is requested that you designate _one QA/0C reviewer from your QA/QC Group to coordinate and i.9tegrate the technical concerns and issues of each of the other TRT Groups with QA/QC programmatic issues; except that two QA/QC reviewers probably should be assigned to Mechanical and Piping issues.
What I have in minc is that, to assist you with providing ongoing coordination relevant to integrtting the overall QA/QC programmatic issues re'garding Comanche Peak, the designated individuals from your QA/QC Group, with an appropriate background in the technical area to which they will be assigned, will by mid-April become thoroughly familiar with the technical concerns and issues of the other TRT Group. These designated QA/QC reviewers for each TRT Group will then continue to provide an ongoing integrating liaison function regarding follow-up action plans and related ASLB proceedings.
Accordingly, to igsure that the. designated contractor personnel will continue to be available to carry out this function, you are directed to make any necessary arrangements for their continuing services through Chet Poslusny.
