1.0 PURPOSE 1.1 This procedure is intended to be instructions for those Quality Control inspection functions which are required before placement of concrete to ensure that a quality product is obtained.
2.0 SCOPE 2.1 This procedure covers the inspection and check-off of the condition of the excavation, existing concrete surfaces against which concrete will be placed, forms, placing of reinforcing steel, and placing of embedded items prior to final clearance for concrete placement.

G 6.2.1 The'QC Civil Inspector shall ensure that the underlying concrete surfaces are suitably cleaned and prepared in accordance with applicable specifications, that the surfaces are approximately level, and have been wet for a minimum of two hours prior to piscing fresh concrrM*. sad that standing water has been removed.
