i 6.0 PROCEDURE I

  • E 6.1 Excavation and Foundation G 6.1.1 The Field Engineer shall ensure that the location, subgrade g elevation, and dissensions of the excavation and/or foundation i are as required by drawings. He shall also verify the location and cut-off elevation of all piles in the foundation.

a G 6.1.2 The QC Civil Inspector shall ensure that the surface preparation, I

including any soil compaction tests, is in accordance with g applicable drawhss and specifications. He shall also verify the number of piles in the foundation, if any.

$i 6.2 Concrete Surfaces g G l G 6.2.1 The'QC Civil Inspector shall ensure that the underlying concrete surfaces are suitably cleaned and prepared in accordance with applicable specifications, that the surfaces are approximately level, and have been wet for a minimum of two hours prior to piscing fresh concrrM*. sad that standing water has been removed.

- 6.6.1 Quality Control Documentation - A document titled Concrete '

'-- Preplacement Checklist Record, Form No. QCIP-6-1, shall be I i

i provided by the Quality Control Civil Supervisor. This card shall be maintained near the placement to provide ~a constant i

status check for cencrete placement preparations and is a l Quality Control document; it shall be signed by the Quality l Control Civil Supervisor when he is satisfied that concrete i placement may proceed. But, if placement is not made within i
