8.2 Care shall be taken not to da'rrage existing embedments and reinforcing steel.

Damaged materials shall be repa' ired or replaced as directed by the Engineer.

9.0 CORING OF GRollT HOLES .' .

9.1 A two (2) foor by thre' e (3) (oot grid of grout holes shall be layed out In the exposed area conforming to Attachment A. Locations may vary due to the interferences,il.ei steel, plates, etc. '

9.2 T.e (2). Inch diameter cores shall be drilled at all locations. The depth ,,

of cores shall be three (3) feet at the south edge increasing in depth by six (6) inches for every two (2) feet increment north of the south edge-of the chipped area. See Attachment A. - . .

Rev. 9.3 If an interference is encountered, drilling shall cease at this location 2

and a new location .shall be chosen by the supervisor in charge and con.

concurred' with by the Engineer. Repair in accordance with Section 11 of this procedure.

9.4 Cores shall be numbered, logged, and stored for future reference.

9.5 Core holes shaJ1 be cleaned and protected until grouting begins.

10.0 GROUTING 10.1 The Material and Equipment Checklist. Attachment 8, shall be completed l

by quality Verification personnel before proceeding. -

10.2 A minimum operat lon. of four injection machines shall be on hand for the grouting ,

l R-2 12.0 VERIFICATION .

k; R-2 12.1 After grouting is completed, the Engineer shall review the operation and determine the verification required. At this time Addendum #1 shall be l written and approved for verification of the repair.

R-2 12.2 Section 13 of this procedure shall not be completed until the verification is accepted by the Engineer. After acceptance of the verification the surface shall be repaired. , 1

<' 13.0 SURFACE REPAIR' 13.I After' verification is completed, the chipped area shall be inspected for damaged materials. Appropriate documentation shall be initiated for the repair of damaged materials.

13.2 Cadwelding around Columns H10A and Hila shall' be completed in accordance with W-SP-1 Reference 3.5.

13.3 After all damaged materials are repaired, saw cut t he edges of the chipped out areas in accordance with Attachment D. The surface of the chipped area shall be cleaned and free from standing water, then coated with-a neat coat of SIKA Hi-Mod epoxy mixed and applied per manufacturer's requirements. Due to the characteristics of the epoxy, only part may be resurfaced at any one time. J. A. Jones quality Verification shall . verify the acceptance of all materials as to

14.2 J. A. Jones' quality Verification shall complete the applicable appendixes during the grouting operations.

14.3 quality Verificatioi, personnel during the grouting operations shall inspect

, surrounding cores for influence of grout.

14.4 Any direction received.from the Engineer during the completion of the repair shall be documented by quality Verification personnel, signed, and dated by the directing Engineer.
