DOcr Public Information Officer, In February of 1981 there was a shipment of high-level radioactive l

catorial from the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant in Forked River, Ncw Jersey to the Battelle Labs in Ohio.

Evidently Battelle Labs was to determine the extent of radioactive degradation and report back to tho utility.

In looking through the official public document room at the Ocean i

j County Library in Toms River, I can find no information filed with the i

j NRO about this.

I called Battelle in Ohio and they said whatever infor-cation would be in the hands of the utility.

I called GPU Nuclear and they said they hadn't received any information from Battelle.

Can you tell me if there has been any sort of' publicly available rcport on this, and if so how I might go about obtaining it? I'm also trying to find out when this material will be shipped back to Oyster Greek for storage, or whether it's headed elsewhere.

I-would appreciate whatever information you can send me about the condition of this material.
