April, 4',

1973~~~j Samvel VI. Jensch Deer Sir:

Although I have written to you before about opposing the construction of the Philadelphie Electric Company Nuclear plant in Limerick,Pa. I gm at5 u om,osed To Inla conatruct2on oecevae of the reasona that I have stated before, which ere the giant size of this nucleer plent, and because of it being located in a heavily populeted areo, and becavae of the great amount of water needed to cool the hot core.

~

Oh yea, those who.want to conatruct this nuclear plent will probably be willing to sweer end promise anything in order to get the licenae to go sheed with thin conatruction. However I doubt

)

very much if you would care to live within thia area if this plant i

is permitted to be conatructed. re the citizena realize if thia plant will be constructed and if there should be e seriova eccident efterwards that we the citizens of this area would be the ones to auffer.

l I heve never heard jvat why Philadelphie Electric must insist to build thia plant in such a heavily popvleted area instead of building this plent in some area that would be free of hvmen beings.

There avrly mvat be a number of ereas that would be more avitable then this Limerick location. For yeern high tension lines have been carrying electricity for hundreds of miles end avrly the semething con be done today.

I would like to reine a few qventions concerning the_Oyater Bay Nuclear plant in New Jersey. Althouch the only novrae of informe. tion I have is from reading the newapepera. Now then according to one erticle this nuclear plant hea thovaanda of gelona i

of poison water, radio active watqr which they claimed at that time that they did not know how they were going to get rid of. Now then does the ATOMIC SAPETY AND LICENSING BOARD look into mattern like thin and see to it that this problem da solved in a safe menner?

And then enother articlo stated that they had trouble at this plant before with poinoned water but it wen not disclosed just how this poison water was dispoacd of. According to this article they thought that it was hauled eway et night-time in tank trucka and then loaded. into bergen to be hauled far out into the oceen and ther.'

dumped. Then another article that I have reed stated that some' thought that this radio active poison water could be dumped in land filla.

Now then none of this makes any sense to me, does it tolyou?

I would like to know if the ATOLiIC SAFETY AND LICENSING DOARD looked into thia artter and if this method of cetting rid of radio active poison water in permitted.

I hope that you will find time to smem- +M<-

4++ w moon.

Ilay you alwaya be bleared with good health and good luck.

I thank you for your time and trouble concerning this letter.

I remain Sincerely jMu2/ k M'f

Construction of an atonic electric plent vehich..will heve.one thovnend tinen the enovnt of atomic energy that one atomic bomb had thet was dropped en Jepon during world v:or two! This plant in under conntruction in Linerick tovennhip, I'ontg. 00. Tennsylvenia.

The land required for thin plent wen bought in onceky fenhioned no no one would knor v4 hat the land ren wanted for. I!ad thenc lend ownern knovn thet on atomic electric plent v/on to be constructed they would he.ye never nold their lend.

Construction van storted e few conths ago end nince then the people in thin townnhip er.d avrrounding orcan have done junt ebevt overything they ponsibly could do to stop thin conatruction of thin monster, but to no eveil! It eppcorn en if the etonic conminnion con do en they well pleene, they heve proven that they have no renpoct for the liven, heelth e56 the rir; hts of our citizenn!

If thin plent in conatructed end sometime later on there should be en explondon thin could be the creetont holocount that ever took piece on certh. Due to the hoevy population in thie arce end avrrounding areen. Even without en explosion the radiat; ion

-could take its toll emons.ovr cit'izenn.

Encloned you t>ill find on erticle that I heve cut out of the Pottatown I;ercury end I nincerely hope that you will reed it en it explains the situntion very well.

I too like millions of other Americans thenk you for ntoppin6 dentrvction of the Evergladen in Florido. Thin hen modd meny new frienda for you. I beg of you to stop the construction of thin atomic electric plent in Limerick tormnhip, Pennnylvenie.
