constituents of mine are greatly concerned over the proposed nuclear power plant at Oyster Creek, New Jersey,.and the decision of the Atomic Safety and J l.

Licensing Board that the New Jersey Power and Light j

company is technically qualified to design and construct

,t this facility.

j I understand that the Board's decision was based, y

to part, upon information contained in a contract the 1

New Jersey Power and Light Company made with General Electric for the design of an operable plant.

The provisions of this contract were reviewed "in camera" j

by the Board, but they have beer, excluded from the l

record of the proceedings.

I hl My constituents believe that this contract may

affect a decision to proceed with the construction of the plant, and they therefore contend that its provisions should properly be made public, available to anyone involved in the deliberations on the project.
