Summary of Caseload Forecast Panel Site Visit The applicant held a meeting for representatives of the NRC's Caseload l~
i Forecast Panel at the site of the Marble Hill Station on February 27 & 28, I
1979. The purpose of site visits by the Caseload Forecast Panel is to assess the status of construction of those plants nearing completion and l
to evaluate the applicant's projected construction completion date.

The site visit began with a meeting on February 27, 1979 to discuss the status of the applicant's construction effort.
A list of attendees and the agenda for this meeting is provided in Enclosure 1.
A tour of the station was held on February 28, 1979.
The applicant stated that they are working en a 61 month construction schedule for Unit 1 of the Marble Hill Station. This time period runs from issuance of the first Limited Work Authorization to the time when Unit 1 is ready for commercial oper-ation.
The applicant distributed a table of construction milestones for the Marble Hill Station as shown in Enclosure 2.
The ap#icant began installation of structural concrete in February,1978.
l The construction effort was basically on schedule at the end of January, 1979 with 15.6 percent of Unit 1 complete and 4 percent of Unit 2 complete.

The applicant stated that they plan to set the reactor pressure vessel for Unit 1 in place in August,1979. The applicant also stated that the j
preoperational test schedule has been integrated into the construction l
schedule and the critical path has been identified.
They plan to be ready to load fuel in Unit 1 in April,1982.
Based on this schedule, the applicant requested that the Final Safety Analysis Report be tendered in May,1979 in order to allow 35 months for completion of the operating i
license review and any necessary hearings prior to their scheduled fuel load date.
We evaluated the applicant's present status of construction and used that information to predict a fuel load date based on our experience with con-struction times at other nuclear stations. We observed ttat, although they were meeting their schedule during installation of structural steel l
