APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO OPERATING LICENS:2
-l Pursuant to Section 50.90 of the regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the New York Power Authority, as holder of Facility Operating License No. DPR 59, hereby appilos for an Amendment to the Technical Specifications contained in Appendix A of this license.
The proposed amendment to the James A. FitzPatrick Technical Specifications deletes Table 3.71 (entitled, " Primary Containment isolation Valves" on pages 198 through 209) along _with any associated notes and any references to this table from the James A. FitzPatrick Technical Specifications. References to a similar table in the updated FitzPatrick Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) will replace the deleted table.
A table of containment isolation valves was added to the FSAR as part of the July 1986 FSAR update, This application amendment supersedes the two prior applications where the Authority applied for similar changes.
The proposed changes to the Technical Specifications are Attachment I to this Application for Amendment to the Operating License. The Safety Evaluation for the proposed changes is included as Attachment II.
