PRINCIPAL CORRESPONDENCE CONTROL NO. 11304 As noted in ply memo to you of December 22, 1982, concerning Principal Correspondence Control No.11290, we are in receipt,of the letter from Representative Edward J. Markey to Chairman Palladino dated December ll,1981, dealing with allegations of possible failure in the quality assurance program of the Hayward Tyler Pump Company.
Due to the nature of the allegations, it will not be possible for us to meet your date of December 28,1981 for a response to Commissioner Ahearne's request for a status report on issue ;
raised in Representative Markey's letter of December 11. We will keep you advised as we continue to review and evaluate the allegations contained in Representative Markey's le.tter.
