Dear Mr. Miller:

- Enclosed are thirty four copies of the Chapter 11 responses to the subject Request for Additional-Information (RAI) on the Standard Safety Analysis Report (SSAR) for the Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR). The Chapter 12 responses were provided in Reference 1. ,

The enclosed responses address thirteen of the twenty two Chapter 11 questions. Responses to all but one of the remaining questions will be provided by June 30,1990. Response to Question ~  ;

430.156 will be provided by July 31,1990. ,

Please note that this material contains information that is designated as General Ele ctric Company proprietary information. This material relates to the Chapter 11 proprietary information that was previously sent to the NRC via Reference 2 and its corresponding proprietary affidavit.

It is intended that GE will amend the SSAR with these responses in a future amendment.
