LPCI/ LPCI Iniection Line Valve 8. Are overhead equipment, distribution systems, ceiling tiles and lighting, and masonry block walls not likely to collapse onto the equipment?

Light fixtures mounted with beam clamps oriented incorrectly (friction resisting dead load). Light fixture would not negatively affect valve below and is unable to sway far enough to hit East Bank CRD. Fixture is judged to be acceptable.

IR 1390318: Light fixture above 2-1501-21A valve supported by chain connected to a cantilevered channel via a beam clamp. The beam clamp appears to rely solely on the slip capacity of the beam clamp bolt to resist the dead load of the light fixture, which could be inadequate in a seismic event. Recommend replace the beam clamps connecting the light fixture chains to the unistrut supports with the appropriate spring-loaded nut and bolt assembly.

Not an immediate seismic concem. Identified during area walk-by inspection.
