Monthly Operating Report for January 2005 Cooper Nuclear Station, Docket 50-298, DPR-46 The purpose of this letter is to provide the Cooper Nuclear Station Monthly Operating Report for January 2005. In accordance vith the guidance provided by Generic Letter 97-02, this report includes an Operating Data Report and Unit Shutdown Report for the month of January. In accordance with Technical Specification 5.6.4, this report also includes documentation of challenges to the safety/relief valves.

The sum of the hours the generator was on line plus the total outage hours should equal the gross hours in the reporting period.

5. Unit Reserve Shutdown Ilours. 0.0 0.0 0.0 The total number of hours during the gross hours of the reporting period that the unit was removed from service for economic or similar reasons but was available for operation
6. Net Electrical Energy (MWIl). 212.975.0 212.975.0 139.538.753.0 The gross electrical output of the unit measured at the output terminals of the turbine-generator minus the normal station servke loads during the gross hours of the reporting period. expressed in mega-watt hours.
