Letter from J. A. Hutton (Nebraska Public Power District) to U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, dated June 14, 2002, Monthly Operating Status Report for May 2002 Nebraska Public Power District has identified errors in the May 2002 Monthly Operating Report (Reference) for Cooper Nuclear Station (CNS). These errors involved the outage duration and generator on-line hours for the month of May. This in turn effects the generator on-line year to date and cumulative hours for the months of May 2002 through October 2002. This error has been entered into the CNS Corrective Action Program.

The May 2002 Monthly Operating Report reported a forced outage, 02-01 and incorrectly reported the duration of this outage. Hours during which the reactor was operating at low power but with the generator off-line were originally included in the forced outage duration. The corrected duration is 167.1 hours1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />. There is no other change to the reported informnation concerning forced outage 02-01. Additionally, the generator on-line hours were incorrect. The corrected generator on-line hours for May 2002 are 540.5.

In summary, the corrected outage duration is 167.1 hours1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> and the corrected generator on line hours are 540.5. The following table provides corrected generator on-line year to date and cumulative hours for the months of May 2002 through October 2002.
