POWERING TODAY.

EMPOWERING TOMORROW.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington, D. C. 20555-0001 Re: Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Errata Letter for the 2003 and the 2008 Radioactive Effluent Release Reports

References:

1. FPL Letter, L-2004-077, Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report, dated March 29, 2004.
2. FPL Letter, L-2009-044, Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report, dated February 26, 2009 Routine reviews noted that the Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Reports for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4, for 2003 (Reference 1) and for 2008 (Reference 2) contain data that is incorrect due to typographical errors. For the 2003 report, the error was found on page 12; Table 3 for Turkey Point Unit 3 contains data for the 4th Quarter Fission and Activation Products that is incorrect. Attachment 1 provides the Errata sheet and the revised page.

For the 2008 report, one error was found on page 9, Section 13, NEI's Industry Initiative on Groundwater Sampling. It is stated that 10 wells on site were sampled for tritium; the correct number of wells sampled for tritium is 9. Another error was found on page 21, Table 6, item 2a. The correct value of the Co-60 is 12.73% instead of 712.73%. Attachment 3 provides the Errata Sheet and the revised page. Attachment 2 provides the Errata Sheets and the revised pages.

The purpose of this letter is to correct our records. Please replace the errata sheets with the enclosed revised pages in-each of the respective reports (References 1 and 2). We apologize for the inconvenience these errors may have caused you.

Should there be any questions regarding this information, please contact Robert J. Tomonto at (305) 246-7327.

Sincerely, Michael Kiley Vice President Turkey Point Nuclear Plant SM Attachments cc: Regional Administrator, Region II, USNRC Senior Resident Inspector, USNRC, Turkey Point Plant an FPL Group company

12.0 INOPERABLE EFFLUENT MONITORING iIR V ATION There was no inoperable effluent monitoring Nst tati requiring reportability during this period.

13.0 NEI's INDUSTRY INITIATIVE ON G ATER SAMPLING In 2008 as part of the Industry Initiative ater Sampling, a minimum of 10 wells on site and adjacent to the site were led rftium. The tritium results were from 360 to 4350 Pico curie per liter. All result e ss th e limits of the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual, Table 5.1-2, Reporting Le fo r& 10 ivity Concentrations in Environmental Samples. The results are reported in t n ,R ogical Environmental Operating Report.
